Off the needles is this Age of Brass and Steam shawlette. I used some Cherry Tree Hill DK from my stash. I made it a little larger than the pattern directs, maybe an extra 4-5 rows. I really love this pattern. This one is going into the Christmas gift stash.
I have two sock projects going now. I need to make some Christmas stockings for a gift exchange. The sock on the left is knit in KnitPicks Wool of the Andes using a basic DK sock pattern that I am modifying (leg and foot are shorter than a real sock). The sock on the right is KnitPicks Felici. I am trying a new pattern, Cafe Macchiato socks with Fish Lips Kiss heel. I finished the cuff and am ready to try the ix stitch pattern.
Your shawl is beautiful! I need to look up your sock pattern. The Fish Lips Kiss heel intrigues me!
ReplyDeleteThe knitting and quilting projects are lovely! I'm a fellow Mississippi crafter. Does 62 have anything to do with the year you were born? I'm a '62 model, too! Plan to follow your blog.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shawl! I'll be interested to see what you think of that heel; to me the instructions were kind of daunting.
