Monday Sewing

I'm making string pieced place mats for my kitchen.  I wanted them to be scrappy, but may have taken that concept a little too far--

If I decide I don't like the scrappy side, I do like the other side and will turn them with the background fabric up. 

I did have a great afternoon of sewing.  I love string piecing.
