On the Needles

Well, that monogamous knitting streak lasted about two weeks.  I was on travel for work, and knocked out a pair of socks while I was gone: I used Laura Linneman's Snakes on a Plane pattern, but knitted cuff down instead of toe up, with the Fish Lips Kiss Heel.  Yarn is Dragonfly Fibers Djinji Sock in "Mardi Gras Mambo".  Fun.  I've already worn them.

I finally cast on Drachenfels!  I'm using Madelinetosh (my fav!!) And RATS!!!  I can't get the picture to load.  Maybe next week.  ;(


And...I cast on Lucy Neatby's "Fiesta Feet".  The LYS has a KAL and I just couldn't sit this one out.  The pattern is way above my skill level, but I'm trying it anyway.  This sock has an interesting construction method--you knit a strip, join in the round to form the cuff, and pick up stitches to start knitting the sock.  We'll see how it goes..... Poo!  No pic here either.

I also finished the blue baby socks.  I wasn't able to finish before I left, so I finished and mailed them to my daughter, so she could add them to my baby shower present.  AND THEY ARE MIA!!!! That's Missing in Action!!!  I mailed them 10 days ago!!!  If you get blue baby socks in your mailbox, please let me know.

They are really a baby blue color in person. Aha!  They just arrived!! Finally --I thought I was going to have to knit another pair.  Whew!
