On The Needles Friday

Still working on my Crazy Zauerball socks.  It appears they will be fraternal, not identical twins, but I think I will really like them.  I have about an inch and a half left on the foot and I am ready to start the toe.

Almost had a tragic end to the current sock---I had just knitted the heel flap and I set the sock in my chair to go get something.  I came back, picked it up and the NEEDLE CAME OUT!!!!  After a few minutes of deep breathing, I was able to collect my stitches and tink a row or two until I could re-start.  Whew!  Almost lost it.

Check out Judy L's to see what everyone else is up to.

  1. Oh, my! I can imagine the panic. I'm so glad you were able to get going again. I have not knitted with Crazy Zauerball but have seen some beautiful socks made with it. Love the colors of yours.

  2. Glad you were able to rescue your socks!! they are very pretty.

  3. That happens to me sometimes too - especially when I grab and pull my knitting out of the bag and accidentally pull the needle - oops! It CAN be fixed - you did the right thing! Those are going to be nice socks to wear! Cheers! Evelyn

  4. My granddaughter pulled the needle out of my project while it was still in my bag...freaked me out...glad you were able to save it.I really like the sock color.
