GSQA Seminar Day 1

What a busy week!  I spent three days at the Gulf States Quilt Association's Seminar in Baton Rouge, LA.  They did a great job this year selecting some fabulous teachers.  The first class was Machine Quilting on Your Domestic Machine with Nancy Hinds.  She did a great job explaining the basics and going over some finer points of machine quilting.  She taught us how to free hand several different design elements.  I can't wait to try these new methods on my next quilt.  The one thing I will really have to remember is to PRACTICE!  I am always in a hurry and just want to finish and move on, and it is mentally painful to me to have to sit down and practice something before I can do it.
