Off the Needles Friday

Yay!!!  I finished my convertible cowl cap.  The end is open and you can cinch it shut for the cap or leave it open to wear as a cowl.  I think I will wear it more as a cap.  My only problem was making the tie--you take four strands of yarn and twist them tightly.  Didn't reall work for me.  I may just braid the tie.  But I really liked knitting it.  The yarn is Lorna's Laces Honor---yummy!

And something new is on the needles!  Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in "Envy".  I want to try to knit the faux cable pattern from the convertible cap.  Thought I would try and see if I could make it work.  See how it goes.....

  1. That is a very neat hat. Love the color of that Lorna's Laces yarn.

  2. I have that cowl/hat pattern in my must do pile. Yours came out great.

You might check Faux Cable Rib Socks by Jen Hansen; the pattern is available free on Ravelry.
