Needles Report: Catching up!

Wow has it been extra crazy busy for me lately!

I had an EPIC long weekend trip to New York City with my running friends.  We really went 100 mph for three days.  Would you expect anything less from 6 marathon/triathlon Ironman finishers?? It was very cold and blustery in NYC, so I was able to give my hand knits some much needed love and wear.

This is me all wrapped up on the Brooklyn Bridge.

I did finish the mittens in time for the trip--thank goodness--I wore them the whole time!

I finally finished the Irish Hiking Scarf.  I just kept knitting and knitting and knitting.  I finally said Enough!
This is the beginning of it, The finished scarf was longer.  Much much much longer. I used Malabrigo Mechita (DK).  I love that yarn, but I probably should have used something thicker.

I made a quick Turn a Square Hat (Jared Flood's pattern) for DS2 out of school colors.  I knitted it in a record three days!  Just knitting in the evenings and in the car a bit.  I have already cast on the next one.  Kevin tried it on and it is a nice, close fitting beanie style.  I think he will like it. I've already cast on another one.
It is currently modeled by my Honda.  Better pic to follow. ;)

What's on your needles??
