Friday Needles Report

Busy knitting week for me.  I finished the first Cafe Macchiato sock and knitted the cuff for sock #2.

I cast on "Simple Straight Skirt" by Churchmouse Yarn and Teas in Wool of the Andes Flagstone Heather.  I used their method of provisional cast on, where you crochet a chain and knit into it.  I think if I need to start over I will try Lucy Neatby's provisional cast on method instead.  I have wanted to knit this for several months, so I hope it comes out well.

I knit "Last Minute Cowl" in Rowan Cocoon umber in one evening.  What a fast knit!  I got lots of compliments on it, but I think if I knit it again I will knit flat instead of in the round, and will make it thinner and longer.

Check out Judy L's page to see what everyone else is up to.

  1. Love your sock and cowl. The cowl looks very warm! Something needed these days. :)

  2. I haven't tried any other provisional cast-on, so I am going to look that up. Your cowl looks so soft and very impressive getting it done in one night.

  3. Beautiful projects. The cowl looks soft and comfy

  4. Very lovely projects. The cowl looks sew nice!
