Quilt Show Weekend

This weekend we went to the Pinebelt Quilt Show in Hattiesburg, MS. I entered two quilts and was thrilled to find out both received honorable mention. 

"Too Much Yellow" was my versions of Bonnie Hunter's "On Ringo Lake" mystery. I added the nine patch square border.

My "Susan's Splendid Sampler" also won honorable mention.  It was from Pat Sloan's Splendid Sampler I. 

I managed to get a Splendid Sampler II block done yesterday. It was a cathedral window block designed by Jenny Doan.  It was quick and easy--instant gratification.
